5th Annual Fail Family Reunion

It wasn't a crapper! (uncle Dave and Dillon in my Uncle Ron's out house). We had our 5th annual Family reunion On the 7th,8th,and 9th. We celebrated this year up Ophir Canyon ( It is a favorite of my families). We had a great time, it is always good to see everyone and spend time together. It is hard to get a group this size together to often. We made the best of our short time together though, we packed it full of good times and a lot of activities.
The girls played hard all weekend it was a great little vacation for me and Justin, with so many kids around my girl stayed pretty busy. That's always nice. I think it is so cool that they are growing up knowing 2nd cousins. I love my whole family and with the mix of personalities and sense of humors it is always a good time with all of the Fail's.
We took a hike to the old Ophir cemetary which was really cool , Ophir is an old mining town, and has alot of history. It was sad to see that there are so many un marked graves, and to know they are over a hundred years old. Way cool.
Cousin Rachel and boyfriend Evon were way cute, he reminded me of Elijah Wood . I love seeing the cousins, it just isn't often enough. Jana and Bryan had a new baby Boy (Zane) and Lisa was there with her new little girl (Lexie ).Melissa and her boyfriend Pete(Way Cute)James and Tori announced they are expecting in April (congratulations Ford family). And to many other cousin's I don't have the space to mention.
We had a lot to keep us occupied as if the company wasn't enough there was horse shoes and a park and lots of perfect weather to just set back and enjoy. We gathered around the camp fire at night while Chris and My Uncle Ron played the guitar and sang, and some Ophir ghost stories.
The kids had plenty of treats as Morgan is modeling for us, a little cotton candy, a snow cone and a rope licorice. hmm, what to eat first?
Parker and Shyann are riding their horses that we made, Parker's riding the smith family horse Buc A Roo. She is a practiced stick horse rider and handled that pony well.
We handed out brooms and asked each family to turn it into a stick horse with a few art supplies at hand and had a little contest. It was so great and funny to see what people came up with. There were some really creative horses. There was a sea horse, a zebra a unicorn, and some brooms with eyes.
Wendy did the train ride for the kids it seems to be the staple at all our camp outs. The kids really enjoy it. It is alot easier than individual rides on the four wheelers and alot safer. It was too short of a weekend, I wish it would have lasted a little longer, and not alot of families feel that way about each other. I think we all enjoyed ourselves and I know Grandma and Grandpa were there with us laughing, and proud of all of us. I know they wouldn't have missed it. Thanks to my WHOLE wonderful family for the great memories of the 5th reunion and I am already excited for the 6th.
